Scholarships

Through the generosity of St. Joseph Volunteers, Dr. Patrick and Kitty Murtha and other private donors, three scholarship opportunities are available which celebrate the accomplishments of our area youth and St. Joseph associates.

Eligible applicants must be high school seniors or college students who are pursuing a health care career in a full time academic program which leads to a degree or certificate in nursing or an allied health care profession. They must be a senior or graduate from Alcona, Arenac-Eastern, AuGres, Hale, Oscoda, Tawas or Whittemore-Prescott schools.

Eligible applicants must be high school seniors whose parents are employed at St. Joseph Health System or are dependents of active St. Joseph Volunteers. They must be a senior from Alcona, Arenac-Eastern, AuGres, Hale, Oscoda, Tawas or Whittemore-Prescott schools.

The President’s Scholarship Award was developed to advance the Health System’s commitment of quality and service excellence while honoring the dedication of personal growth and development of its associates through their commitment of continuing education. Eligible applicants must be a full-time St. Joseph associate with a minimum of three years employment history; must be in good standing with no written disciplinary actions in the past twelve months; currently enrolled in an accredited university or college with a minimum of six credit hours pursuing an undergraduate degree in a clinical or allied health care profession.
